How To Lean Into Your Style
I tend to be a little different. Sometimes, I even go as far as ending sentences with prepositions, just because. I wear a flat brim and Nikes while talking to a room full of people in suits. You know what? It works.
The reason it works for me and not for others is because I’m leaning into the things that are authentically me while still doing the work to practice empathy for those I’m trying to communicate with.
It’s not a perfect science, but I’ve definitely been practicing it for quite a while now. I hope sharing my experience frees you to lean into your style more. Because that’s what we need more of…authentic people adding creative flavor to our everyday home and work lives.
